GrowthEnabler, an online B2B marketplace platform, has today announced it will be partnering with everywoman, an online learning and development platform that advances women in business on their Self-Made Entrepreneur’s Hub. The partnership aims to champion female founders and leaders across the global GrowthEnabler community of large enterprises, investors and digital start-ups.

The partnership between GrowthEnabler and everywoman will boost their efforts in providing support and new business opportunities to female founders. Members of the Self-Made Hub will also gain access to experts within the tech sector through their extensive partnerships and expansive network. The collaboration will involve a partnership programme that will support diversity and unlock access to a talent pool that otherwise may have been untapped.

Aftab Malhotra, co-founder of GrowthEnabler commented, "We are extremely excited about this significant partnership with everywoman and deeply committed to driving diversity across every business; championing the advancement of women founders and leaders across the global GrowthEnabler community of large enterprises, investors and digital start-ups. GrowthEnabler and everywoman will combine forces and provide necessary insights and support to enable the start-ups of tomorrow to understand diverse teams are the oxygen of their commercial success."

Karen Gill MBE, co-founder of everywoman, said: “Now is the time for action to help female-run businesses reach their full potential.  The influence that today and tomorrow’s female entrepreneurs will have on our economy shouldn’t be underestimated. everywoman is delighted to be partnering with GrowthEnabler on our Self-Made Entrepreneurs Hub, to connect their female tech entrepreneurs and female tech-owned businesses with the resources needed to inspire, promote and up-scale.”

The #ewselfmade campaign is supported by NatWest and Specsavers and aims to unleash the potential of female entrepreneurs. Insight from everywoman shows that if women started up their own business at the same rate as men, there would be one million more female entrepreneurs in the UK.  This staggeringly high number demonstrates the need for practical solutions to unlock this potential – one that #ewselfmade aims to address.

Overall, only one in three UK entrepreneurs is female, a gender gap equivalent of 1.1 million missing businesses. This is despite the potential for £250 billion of new value to be added to the UK economy if women started and scaled new businesses at the same rate as men. Even if the UK were to achieve the same average share of women entrepreneurs as best-in-class peer countries, this would still add as much as £200 billion [1].

It is essential that entrepreneurs understand the value and power of diversity within their team as they grow their business, so this becomes part of their DNA.
